P.S. As usual I waffled around a bit, and my colleague Alice raised the
key point immediately:
The points I made about being open to continental philosophy, but needing
it to be explained carefully still hold.
However the key reason for saying 'analytic' in the CFP was to say that we
wanted an analysis - an argument rather than just a description of the
position held by an author.
I complicated things by going beyond this original meaning, but I wanted
to take the opportunity to clarify BUPS' position on continental
philosophy.
Thanks,
Rab.
