** For Your Eyes Only **

yes, david, i agree, a computer is incapable of producing art.

but is nature capable of producing art?

just a thought?

i think art must be intentional
a chance happening does not create 'art'

i know we've got two parallel discussions going on, so maybe this is a good way of linking the two, does anyone know of any evidence of any non-human animal producing what we might term as art?

i dont think farm animals could

does this have moral weight? in my mind, not really in the respect that we should still award non-human animals rights but not the same rights as we award those who have such facilities perhaps.

mind u, there's a place in africa where monkeys apparently go worshipping... truly. no jokes, i'll do some research on this.

is painting by numbers art?
so can an infant or mentally disabled person produce art if they're not really aware of what they're doing?

hm...

i await ur responses.

alice
