Ok, just a quick reminder to everyone.

BUPS will not tolerate ad hominem attacks on this list. This is a safe 
place for discussion to develop your views and abilities as philosophers. 
Be nice or be removed. Sorry, but it's that simple. Don't care who it is, 
or why, but no attacks against the person - only against the argument.

As far as I am concerned, it is safest to suppose that the person posting 
may well be arguing their position not because they believe it, but 
because they want to see how far they can support it before it collapses. 
Do not confuse position and person, or make assumptions about those you 
are in discussion with. That would be very poor philosophy.

We all have deep personal beliefs, and BUPS-DIS deals in controversial, 
political, important topics. So be sharp, assertive and casual, but if 
you're being rude, the chances are you're also being sloppy. Match 
arguments with arguments, not insults please.

OK kids, back to the playground, please don't make me come out here 
again...
