Edward:
Tony Benn, Viscount Stansgate, Labour politician, campaigner, diarist,
temporary non-aristocrat. Forced the 1963 Peerage Act to temporarily and
without risk put aside his title and move from the House of Lords to the
Commons. Same legislation later used by Alec Douglas-Home, who became PM
instead of a certain namesake of mine.
Talks great sense, has huge moral authority in instinct if not always in
political achievements. True moral conscience of the Labour Party. Should
be canonised.
My source for the five questions:
Who Runs This Place? - Anthony Sampson, 2004, Chapter 1, Page 1.
Don't trust the wikipedia entry on him, by the way. It's got some
important information missing.
