Perhaps you could review a recent edition of an old text. If so then I suppose
you would have to concentrate your energies on a discussion of the new
editorial features: preface, introduction etc.

Or perhaps there are modern anthologies which collect a variety of old papers
and articles. Here you could comment on how suitable the choice of papers was,
and whether it is a real advantage to have those materials published together,
i.e. comment on the availability of the original texts.

Alternatively, you could find a recent translation of an older book. This would
be excellent if you are familiar with the original language the text was
written in.
