Re: Sheffield

James, that's a really good idea to ask people on the list. Why didn't I think of that? Does anyone have anything to say about either St Andrews or Cambridge. (Specifically the size of St Andrews: is it too small a town. And concerning Cambridge, do they have many people doing good metaphysics, I'm a bit worried they don't). As far as Sheffield is concerned I don't know too much, although all of my tutors I've spoken to about it really rate it as a place to do an MA. Also, seemingly everyone who's ever been there raves about how wonderful the city is (not that I've ever been there). Sorry I couldn't be more useful.

I've just been offered a place on the Research MA at Sheffield, and am minded to accept. It looks pretty good from the outside, but I was wondering if any of you guys at Sheffield have any inside gen you would like to share about the course, department or university.
