Dear All,
Dan,
I dont know. What do you think?
My *intution* is 'no, we wouldnt need to (IN PRINCIPLE) direct the meta
question to Epistemology first' Why would we? unless we thought that the
answers given in the domain of Epistemology will be in some way essential,
or will have some crucial bearing on the answers given in other fields, say
ethics. They may be overlap. Sure. But there may be totally different
answers all togethr. I really dont know. So as to not prejudge the issue, id
say that there is no *in principle* no reason to start with epistemology.
There may, however be some argument which suggest we should start with
epistemology first.
I would say tho, that as a purely pragmatic matter, we should start with
epistemology.
