==Announcing the launch of Chains of Reason (www.chainsofreason.org)==

Chains of Reason (www.chainsofreason.org) is an ad-free, non-profit, wiki
powered by the same software as Wikipedia. It provides a unique way for
anyone to follow, and contribute to, arguments for and against particular
beliefs - philosophical, scientific, religious, or whatever.

=How does it work?=
- First, a user presents the reasoning behind a particular belief as a chain
of very simple arguments, with the conclusion of each such 'link' in the
chain becoming a premise of the next, connecting more fundamental, and
widely accepted, beliefs to the belief in question.
- Users can then add objections, and counter-objections, to these links.
- Users can also edit a link, objection, or counter-objection, as long as
the aim of such edits is to improve the link, objection or counter-objection
in question.

In this way, users work together to ensure that a chain of reasoning, and
any accompanying objections, are as strong as possible, thereby enabling
people to make as informed an assessment as possible of the soundness of
that reasoning.
