Hello everyone,

We need respondents for the the following papers at the up-coming conference. It is certainly a rewarding experience which will look attractive on your CV. Here are the paper titles and topical areas:

Realism in a revolutionary world: the case of structural realism (Philosophy of science; realism & anti-realism)

Truth in fiction (Philosophy of logic/language; fictional discourse)

Can the sale of human organs from living donors ever be morally acceptable? (Applied ethics)

Misguided intentions & hypothetical audiences (Philosophy of language)

The implications of an artificial reality (Philosophy of mind)

Objectivism, autonomy, & Deontology (1st order ethics; moral objectivity)

The aesthetic value of perfect copies (Philosophy of art)

The role of respondent involves reading the paper (which will be sent to you) through carefully and giving a very short (5-8 min) talk on the day, after the speaker's paper has been given. You will be expected to limit yourself to a recap of the arguments made followed by a discussion of some of the points which you found disagreeable and/or interesting.

If any of the papers tickle your fancy please email me as soon as possible with the title of the paper which interests you. Although we will only allocate you one respondent slot at most, it may help to specify several preferences in case the paper you requested has been allocated already.

Many thanks,

Joe Cunningham
