Society Introduction

Welcome to the home page of the British Undergraduate Philosophy Society. We are a student-run group open to anyone interested in undergraduate-level philosophy.

Our aims are:

  1. To get students discussing philosophy, visiting conferences and socialising with members of other universities.
  2. To provide contacts and opportunities for students without an active local philosophy society.
  3. To help students with common interests find one another and share information about upcoming events and publications.
  4. To provide a contact point for A-level pupils or university students in other subjects thinking about studying philosophy at university.
  5. To organise several undergraduate philosophy conferences each year.
